What Is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy treatment focuses on restoring normal function to your whole body, including the circulatory and neurological systems. This includes careful manipulation and skilful mobilisation of the musculoskeletal system. Our Osteopaths in Sutton Coldfield specialise in the important aspects of diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.
What Are The Benefits Of Seeing An Osteopath?
Whether you have injured yourself or have pain or stiffness that hasn’t yet been diagnosed, osteopathy is a way of detecting, treating and even preventing injuries and can assist with health problems. Some musculoskeletal symptoms can result in an absence from work especially if they affect mobility or become very painful. Whether your symptoms have affected you for many years, or the issues are more recent, osteopathy can usually help.
What Can An Osteopath Treat?
Osteopathy treatment can help with conditions that affect bones, muscles and joints. Here are just some common reasons to get treated by an osteopath; neck pain, arthritis, sciatica, lower back pain (lumbago) and migraines, muscle and joint pain, tennis elbow and various sports injuries.
What Experience Do Your Osteopaths Have At Your Sutton Coldfield Clinic?
Paul Clusker is a fully registered and practising member of the General Osteopathic Council. He has been continuously involved in the field of natural health care for well over 30 years and leads the osteopathy clinic in Sutton Coldfield with a team of experienced professionals. Our professional osteopath practitioners use the latest, approved and successful treatments. You can trust that our team of recommended osteopath practitioners are dedicated to alleviating your pain and work hard to restore your mobility.
What Can I Expect From Osteopathy Treatment?
One commonly asked question is; ‘does osteopath treatment hurt? The answer to this question is that any manual therapy, such as manipulation can have some side effects. It’s not uncommon to feel some stiffness or discomfort in the area in which you received the treatment but this will usually subside very relatively quickly. The positive thing to keep in mind is that osteopathy is a safe and effective form of treatment for you. Our professional osteopath in Sutton Coldfield, will skillfully touch muscles, bones and joints, to identify points of weakness or excessive strain throughout the body. Once various investigations have been carried out the osteopath will then tailor a treatment plan to your needs.
What should I wear to my Sutton Coldfield osteopath appointment?
Clothing that is loose and easily removable is a good suggestion as staff may likely probably ask you to remove some clothing so that they can reach an affected area or to examine you. To help detect or treat conditions, they may also feel around your joints, ligaments and tissues with their hands.
